Mission

Aligned with Lingokids’ mission of improving early childhood education and helping parents around the world raise amazing children, the Brand Director will bring LK one step closer to fulfilling this mission by building a love brand for Millennial parents of preschoolers. The trust of millennial parents will grow our paying members and multi-year retention. 

The Brand director is an integral part of the leadership team, reporting to the CMO and leading the brand and comms team.

Responsibilities:

  • Set the brand & communication vision and ensure the company follows a brand positioning that serves the user needs and is adapted to the time we live in. 
  • Lead market research projects relevant for high level B&C plan.
  • Define and execute Lingokids’ PR, social media, content marketing and brand partnerships strategies.
  • Build a set of company growth enabling OKRs, drive insightful learnings and actions and share them externally and internally.
  • Own governance of B&C and its definition across the company.
  • Identify the right target audience into the top of the funnel and growing LKs brand awareness. 
  • Develop & execute fully integrated brand and communication strategies and partnerships that gain positive consumer and industry media coverage for the Lingokids brand and reach our target audiences.  
  • Make trade-offs and prioritize between Lingokids’ brand values, marketing channel needs in terms of messaging and design, and partner requirements. 
  • Stay up to date with tendencies in education / parenting / tech for preschoolers
  • Lead the B&C team:
    • Manage day-to-day of the team, with a focus on execution of the roadmap against company goals
    • Create and follow up on career plan & salary review of team members, detect needs of team growth
    • Grow seniority of content marketing, social media, brand partnerships PR and creative marketing team members (and additional areas to come)
    • Help create internal and external processes that will help the B&C team run effectively, efficiently, and in support of Lingokids’ strategy and long term growth.
  • Others:
    • Establish regular syncs with leads from other squads and identify needs/blockers from other teams/squads.
    • Support operational excellence leading the company to a Scale-up.
    • Be a proactive member of the XCOM team setting the strategic direction of Lingokids.
    • Set an example of LK values and be an approachable team leader.

Competencies required:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong business acumen and conformable working in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
  • 10+ years of working experience as brand manager in fast paced consumer facing environments.
  • Proven track record in strategically building brands with international presence that engage millions of people from different audiences around the world.
  • Experience in digital products with subscription based models focused on B2C channels. 
  • Deep customer empathy and inquisitiveness that truly lives for the mission of the company.
  • Proven ability to identify target audiences in multiple markets and develop effective brand and campaign ideas connected to the overall strategy of Lingokids.
  • Strategic thinker also feeling comfortable in a creative oriented position.
  • An experienced and talented leader experienced in hiring, building and managing international & ideally remote teams.
  • Excellent people skills to ensure a high performing team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience driving multiple workflows.
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • You have a strong understanding of:
    • What our customer's needs really are
    • Where millennial parents can be found
    • How to create a meaningful and purposeful brand that stand out from the masses
    • How to identify new scalable pillars of our brand and marketing strategy


English is a must. We are a multicultural team and we are providing a service in English so, we don't care about certificates but we expect you to be able to communicate fluently.
