What you’ll do

At Lingokids, being a Senior Product Engineer means being responsible for the entire lifecycle of an initiative in our product, from initial conceptualization to deployment and beyond. Our Product Engineers have a deep understanding of both technical intricacies and user needs and, collaborate closely with Designers, peer Product Engineers, and other stakeholders.

This role is part of the Product Engineering team, which consists of around 30 people working in multidisciplinary teams.

• Ownership: you own large features end-to-end, from scoping and technical design to instrumentation, monitoring, deployment, and maintenance. You communicate proactively with the team, and provide constructive feedback through design, code, and peer reviews, receiving it with the same openness.

• Experimentation: you design, run, and interpret experiments, reading data, drawing conclusions, and proposing ideas and direction based on what you find.

• Improve infrastructure and processes: you work with your squad to bring new ideas on how to improve the app's infrastructure and team processes, and collaborate closely with UX and Designers to translate design concepts into functional, high-quality code.

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer working with mobile app products, with familiarity with in-app purchase systems such as the App Store, Google Play, or Amazon Appstore being a plus

• Proficiency in TypeScript and React Native, with a solid understanding of App–API communication. Desirable but not required: Experience with Ruby on Rails or other backend frameworks.

• Clear communication: you write and speak with precision and effectiveness, and can clearly articulate the business impact of your work

• A team player: you collaborate closely with peers and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver solutions

• Ownership: you care deeply about the product, hold yourself accountable, and ensure work is aligned and executed with care

English is a must: We’re a multicultural team providing a service in English, so while certifications aren’t necessary, fluency is essential. As a fully remote company, clear and effective spoken and written communication, especially in asynchronous and long-form formats, is key to collaborating successfully.
