Get to know the team!

Our Engineering team is composed of roughly 30 people based in different countries and coming from different backgrounds.

We believe that communication, empathy, inquisitiveness, and open-mindedness are fundamental to being successful in any endeavor.

We have different disciplines among Engineering and each of them contributes to the product in a different way:

🔧 Backend: they build the API services that deliver a personalized learning experience to millions of families worldwide. Our backend is a lean, majestic, modular monolith. Currently, we're using Ruby on Rails, but we're language-agnostic in our hiring processes.

📱 Mobile: they create the app that children and parents all over the world will enjoy. Our app is written in React Native and Typescript. The team work closely with UX and designers to translate static designs into code and improve our design system components.

📊 Data Engineering: they work on improving and extending our Data Platform, which supports the Analytics needs and data-driven projects of the company. It is built around a modern ELT pipeline, deployed on AWS, and uses Python and Spark.

🕹 Games:  together with game designers and game artists, they create engaging experiences by developing clean and fast game code and tools.

✅ Quality Assurance: this team is responsible for developing processes to meticulously test our products and make sure they're free of bugs, ultimately providing the best user experience for kids and parents.

I love the way in which each Engineering member collaborates at all times when a problem arises, all having a common goal and trying to reach the best possible solution together.
